LOUD
The world is so loud.
I try to tune everyone out
That leaves me with doubt,
Do my words matter if I don’t shout?
Everyone is so loud.
Opinions and arguments, come about
From vessels that are not in touch
With the man who made them spring up and sprout.
He said
She said,
We all have said something at one time—
No doubt
That ultimately didn’t help anybody out.
The manner in which we speak
Shouldn’t cause headaches
Or ear pains
Or tears
Or chest heaves
Or fears.
Our words should be sound and always true
To what we believe,
And what we aspire to do.
Clout should not have a voice
Throughout our lives
We have a choice.
To make some noise—wisely.
But in times of despair,
Don’t only focus on the drought that got you there.
I scream on the inside to get away from these sounds
That pull me into negativity and sadness
This world always tries to wear me out.
People pout around, I always hear some bad sounds.
I want to rise above
To be seen,
To be heard—most importantly
To be able to share a kind word!
