Having to sit there…
And hold my peace
I see a dark cloud form, wide, over me.
In these moments of despair,
I’m reminded of who was always there.
Tear fall slowly as I speak
Chills form on my forearms
It’s very hard to be me.
In these moments of despair,
I’m reminded of who was always there.
Lips quiver and shake
Sadness is on my brow
I feel afraid
How do I get through the now, when no one is available to help me out?
In these moments of despair,
I’m reminded of who was always there.
Finally,
A breakthrough is reached.
Chains drop off, all around me.
My legs shake no more.
My shoulders don’t fold forward.
Thank God I can now speak without any hint of sorrow.
In all of these moments of despair,
I’m soothingly reminded of who is always there.
