Swan
I swan your way
I swim mine
Like the pounding, glistening night sky
We’re both here - still alive
In the crevices of the water
My proper form is defined
The ocean can take you under
But my gaze can make you feel sublime
Why is the moon so beautiful?
Why can the darkness inhibit it?
Why can’t my tender bits find bliss on this celestial orbit?
The movement and agility of a swan
Is what I want to be on
The peppered steps of those diaphanous birds
Includes a spark, an autonomy
My human self longs for
