Be like a ladybug.
My insides reflect my reality
In juxtaposition to what ladybugs think
Am or winning or sinking?
Did I lose, or was I just used?
The sound in my heart keeps beating
But the speed in my feet is leaving
It’s all a mystery
What happens — literally?
Is up to none of us
Yet God allows those things that tear us down
Those things that make us proud
Those things that make us fall to our knees — because they hurt us so deep
The flair that ladybugs exude
Tell me what to do when I’m in a mood
The protection stemming from their exterior existence
Makes me want to cover up
Camouflage
Be distant
Be still
Be persistent
And yield into living a life where everybody doesn’t know everything about me.
Be like a ladybug, you see!
