Do you know what it’s like to be me?
Do you know what it’s like to be me?
To fear the shadows
To hide underneath dreams
Which always comes undone at the seams
I thought these feelings wouldn’t always be
That I’d have time to break free
Spread my pinions, and let visions stretch me
Far away from this spot
This wretched castle on a hill
Riddled with cobwebs
No unlocked windows
No window sills
The doors to leave no longer exist
Safe place?
Well, this couldn’t be it
Yet, visitors still come in and out
People outside can’t even hear our guttural shouts
…Something is brewing
Seen and unseen
The place where heaven and hell shall meet
To shine a light on all the injustices
Free the greed
Exposes our need
And turn back evil spirits
From crowning us with supposed demented deeds.
