Que Sera Que Sera
What will be will be.
You came at midnight,
To serenade me.
The flair from your body
Did not uphold your truth
The wind took you down
On a long, swerving road
Undergirded with deception
You calloused my heart.
But I fret not-
God has still called me: whole.
People leave
People change
People breathe lies
People speak negatively on my name
But I fret not-
What will be will be.
Answered prayers are my salvation
From the disappointment of my dreams
From the disappointment of my support team
From the disappointment of this earth
From the disappointment I receive after bleeding my heart dry
-yearning for someone to really love me-
What I’ve learned in this life,
Is that in order to take flight
You have to accept things as though they are
And not what you perceive them to be
Don’t try and force things.
Don’t beat yourself up.
Be your own biggest cheerleader.
Employ your faith, not luck.
What will be will be.
Oh man, how that comforts me!
